I have a 2019 Chevy Silverado 2500hd 6.6L and I already know it requires 140ft lbs of torque on the lug nuts. I'm curious what everyone out there does: 1. Set torque straight to 140 and torque away. 2. Torque in increments up to 140 3. Tighten until you think its good enough. Recently my torque wrench gave out midway and I messed up.

1985--2002 have 15" wheels with FIVE 1/2 lug nuts. 2003-2005 have 16" wheels with SIX 14mm lug nuts. From considerable on-line research I did 2--3 yrs ago and again today, it appears the 1/2" (wheel stud) lug nuts should be torqued to 100 ft lbs, while the 14mm (wheel stud) lug nuts should be torqued to 140 ft. lbs.
